Or en Suisse les lignes qui se raccordent \u00e0 celles qui viennent d.\u00eatre cit\u00e9es ne seront pas en \u00e9tat, pendant longtemps encore, d.assurer les liaisons \u00e0 grande vitesse. Cette lacune est particuli\u00e8rement grave pour les liaisons entre les deux centres commerciaux que sont B\u00e2le et Zurich. La Suisse constitue un v\u00e9ritable goulet d.\u00e9tranglement dans le r\u00e9seau europ\u00e9en de trains \u00e0 grande vitesse.</p><p>La ligne B\u00e2le-Zurich a atteint les limites de sa capacit\u00e9. M\u00eame s.il est encore possible d.augmenter celle-ci, l.instauration d.un trafic mixte est contraire \u00e0 la logique du syst\u00e8me, comme des \u00e9tudes l.ont montr\u00e9. On ne peut tirer avantage des trains \u00e0 grande vitesse que lorsqu.ils circulent sur des lignes qui leur sont r\u00e9serv\u00e9es\u00a0; en outre, ils ne sont rentables que pour les liaisons entre les grands centres.</p><p>Il sera possible aux trains \u00e0 grande vitesse de contourner la Suisse par l.ouest en 2005 et par le nord en 2010. Les auteurs du postulat craignent qu.il n.en r\u00e9sulte de graves cons\u00e9quences pour l.\u00e9conomie de toute la Suisse.
