Dans 3914 autres cas, un avertissement a \u00e9t\u00e9 prononc\u00e9. L'OFROU \u00e9crit, dans sa brochure \"Route et trafic 2016\", qu'\u00e0 eux seuls les avertissements pour cause d'inattention ou de distraction ont augment\u00e9 de plus de 20\u00a0%.</p><p>Ces mesures administratives sont tr\u00e8s on\u00e9reuses non seulement pour les conducteurs concern\u00e9s mais aussi pour l'\u00c9tat, car les proc\u00e9dures qu'elles entra\u00eenent donnent beaucoup de travail aux autorit\u00e9s judiciaires. Bien souvent, ces infractions aux r\u00e8gles sont de moindre gravit\u00e9 (par ex. utilisation illicite du t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable ou du syst\u00e8me de navigation). En pareil cas, infliger des amendes d'ordre d\u00e9chargerait la justice. Les conducteurs qui ont besoin d'un v\u00e9hicule pour des raisons professionnelles pourraient conserver leur permis de conduire. Les entreprises concern\u00e9es y gagneraient \u00e9galement.
