L'int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 des co\u00fbts li\u00e9s \u00e0 la vaccination contre le Covid-19 ne peut donc pas \u00eatre int\u00e9gralement imput\u00e9e \u00e0 l'assurance obligatoire des soins. Les r\u00e9serves des assureurs maladie servent \u00e0 garantir la solvabilit\u00e9 en ce qui concerne les risques actuariels ainsi que les risques de march\u00e9 et de cr\u00e9dit dans le cadre l\u00e9gal de l'assurance obligatoire des soins. Le Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral est aussi d'avis que les r\u00e9serves sont trop \u00e9lev\u00e9es et doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9duites dans l'int\u00e9r\u00eat des assur\u00e9s. Dans ce sens, il a mis en consultation en septembre 2020 un projet de modification de l'ordonnance sur la surveillance de l'assurance-maladie qui a pour but de faciliter la diminution volontaire des r\u00e9serves.
