Cependant, les m\u00e9thodes de mesure appliqu\u00e9es jusqu'\u00e0 fin 2022 n'\u00e9taient pas assez sensibles pour d\u00e9tecter les filtres \u00e0 particules diesel d\u00e9fectueux. C'est pourquoi, depuis le ler janvier 2023, une m\u00e9thode de mesure plus pr\u00e9cise est utilis\u00e9e lors des contr\u00f4les officiels subs\u00e9quents (contr\u00f4le technique des v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 moteur) au moyen de nouveaux appareils soumis \u00e0 v\u00e9rification. Cette proc\u00e9dure est \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9e dans d'autres pays europ\u00e9ens, notamment en Belgique. L'augmentation du taux d'irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s s'explique par l'introduction de cette nouvelle m\u00e9thode de mesure. Les relev\u00e9s effectu\u00e9s par les services des automobiles (asa) charg\u00e9s de l'ex\u00e9cution montrent que ce taux est inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 15\u00a0%. Les v\u00e9hicules dont les filtres \u00e0 particules sont d\u00e9fectueux sont remis en \u00e9tat et peuvent ensuite continuer de circuler.
